We don't know about you, but we are prepping for a full house this Christmas. 'Tis the season to be jolly, and we have in-laws to host, kids returning home for the holidays, dinner parties to plan and endless bbq's on the cards.

Whatever you do, don't panic. Here are some simple things we do to make hosting over the festive season a breeze... Including furniture and homeware additions you may or may not have thought of, that will make hosting Christmas easy, and stylish.

Shop Christmas Entertaining

There are a couple of things that we know will make entertaining easier, and first up is seating. It sounds basic, but having enough seats round the table or in the lounge is often an afterthought until it's too late, and you will find yourself sitting on the laundry basket for Christmas lunch.

Shop Ottomans

Which is where our dear friend the ottoman shines; compact, versatile, and bang on trend, have them on hand in the living room, to be used as and when required. Alternatively, use this as an excuse to invest in a beautiful occasional chair for your bedroom, ready to pull up at the table. To be used by adults only may we add.

Shop Chairs

As for the table top, you don't need to go crazy with decorations to give dinner a festive feel. Keep it simple with our go-to recipe for success; artfully placed greenery, linen napkins, and candles, those three things are enough to make lunch extra special.

Shop Tableware

Next, emergency gifts, you may not have considered it but its worth having the odd extra wrappable item up your sleeve, just in case you have a last minute shortage. The last thing you need is a panic when you have accidentally forgotten someone, or a cousin brings their new beau along without warning, or your son hasn't bought anyone anything at all (likely). The best part of this plan, if by January it hasn't been needed, you can gift it straight back to yourself.

Shop in stock Gifts and Homewares

Last but not least, treat your rooms to a little update, If there is ever a time to feel houseproud, it's Christmas. A couple of new cushions on the couch, some fresh linen on the beds and a handful of new additions in the kitchen will leave you feeling the like the hostess with the mostess. It is party season after all.

Merry Christmas!
